A deadly attack in the Persian Gulf has intensified tensions during the ongoing Iran–United States–Israel conflict escalation. An underwater drone strike reportedly targeted the oil tanker Safesea Vishnu oil tanker near Basra in Iraq, killing one Indian crew member. The vessel, owned by Safesea Transport Inc., was attacked along with another tanker, Zefyros oil tanker.
