I tried to do something interesting with it, and thus it worked. The colours represent the seasons, just like the colours in the background of the actual stage. As for the background, I intentionally dropped the render samples to a demonically low number, just so that the smoke looked messed up, which fits with the "somethin' ain't quite right" vibe of the song. Plus, it lowered the render times... to twelve hours.
