I only have 40 more days until I leave for India and officially start Nomad life! Here is everything I own that I won't be carrying with me when I return to the states this summer and start travel nursing. My tips for downsizing sentimental items: 1. Realize that the memory/event/person that an item reminds you of is just a reminder and you don't have to have something physical to remember those times. 2. Consider keeping part of something instead of the whole. 3. It's awesome to have some sentimental things that you treasure and bring a smile to your face, just make sure your stuff does own you and the amount isn't overwhelming. 4. Take it slow when it comes to sentimental things. 5. Display items what can also be used for decor on walls and shelves. 6. When it comes to taking in new sentimental things keep items small when possible.
