SWITZERLAND: LIFE IN THE BEAUTIFUL SWISS VILLAGE Kastanienbaum is a small village, one of the most beautiful cities in Switzerland. It is overlooked by Pilatus (mountain) and is situated on the banks of Lake Lucerne. Kastanienbaum is located about 3 miles south of the center of Lucerne on a half island, just at the border of the Vierwaldstättersee. it's a very nice location to visit. My daughter and I traveled there by bus for a day trip to experience and enjoy the stunning views of this famous place and learn the life in this beautiful Swiss village. We also visited the small scale castle farm and poultry, listed the cowbells, bought some chicken eggs, etc. This was one of the great tours of my visit to Switzerland and we saw how they raised their beef steers on their farmland. It showed the pasture layout, how they did their fence, inside their barn area, what they got for feed, ...
