The body of a missing Navarre, Florida woman was found Saturday evening in Alabama. Her ex-boyfriend has been arrested in Middle Tennessee on charges linked to her death. WEAR-TV reports Cassie Carli's body was found in a shallow grave inside a barn while authorities were executing a search warrant in Springville, Alabama. The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office says Carli's ex-boyfriend, Marcus Spanevelo, has ties to the Springville property. Carli, 37, disappeared last week after meeting Spanevelo for a scheduled custody exchange of their 4-year-old daughter Saylor. Deputies recovered Carli's vehicle at Navarre Beach on Tuesday. Spanevelo was arrested Friday night in Maury County by Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) agents and Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) troopers. He's facing the following charges connected to Carli's death: tampering with evidence, giving false information concerning a missing persons investigation, and destruction of evidence.
