Christmas Shortbread Cookies Recipe, ingredients: 300 g of flour (Polish krupczatka flour/ coarse-ground flour is the best for the recipe, it's type 500; you can also use All Purpose Flour) 200 g of cold butter (diced), 3 raw egg yolk, 100 g or powdered sugar, a pinch of vanilla, optional Christmas Shortbread Cookies Recipe, method: To the flour and sifted sugar, add the butter and rub in with your fingertips, until the mixture resambles breadcrumbs. Add the yolks and knead briefly. Fiorm a ball and faltten it out. Cover with plastic wrap and chill in the fridge for few hours (or overnight). You can also place the crust into the freezer, to make the process much quicker. Roll on a floured surface (1/2 cm thick) and cut out cookies. Bake for about 8-10 minutes (200 C), until lightly golden on sides. Allow to cool completely (you won't be able to transfer them when hot; they are too crumbly; they need few minutes to harden).
