Wolvey, Leicestershire. M/Ss of red sports car skidding round whilst driving along a wet and slippery stretch of tarmac in a field, same car reversing and driving back along the tarmac, this time skidding round in a far more controlled manner, sign 'Anti-Skid Schools Limited, Telephone Wolvey 333-4-3, Head Office'. C/U of triangular 'skid alert' road sign. M/S of Monica Leavesley (sp?) and Phillip Thompson (the company director and his secretary!) sitting at a table in the field with Dutch rally driver Rob Slotemaker. He is moving model cars along the table to demonstrate anti-skid driving techniques. C/Us of Miss L watching and nodding, the model cars being moved and Mr S explaining the demonstration. M/S of the group at the table; Mr S looks at his watch and they all get up and walk a few steps to a grey car, Mr T getting into the driver's seat, Mr S in the passenger seat and Miss L in the rear. M/Ss of the car driving off along the road to the practice tarmac, the car skidding round on the tarmac, a young man watering the road with a hose, the car skidding round again. C/Us of Mr T steering, and his foot on the brake. Mr S's finger comes into shot pointing and the foot moves onto the accelerator. M/Ss of the car skidding, the man watering the road then C/U of the end of the hose spraying water. M/Ss of Miss L behind the wheel as she drives off, various of her driving including a good one from the rear seat of the car as she furiously steers through the skid! C/U of her foot in a black court shoe on the brake; Mr S's hand comes into shot to firmly lift it off. C/U of Miss L driving, then M/Ss of car skidding to a halt, and from inside the car of Mr S congratulating Miss L. M/Ss of Mr S getting into a red Triumph TR3 and driving off to demonstrate Cadence braking and the car driving along the tarmac showing what not to do; the front wheels turn to the right and are locked there as the brakes are applied making it difficult to stop. It comes to a halt at the very end of the tarmac stretch. M/Ss of Mr T and Miss L watching the demonstration, the car coming towards the camera demonstrating the same run using Cadence braking, coming to a fully controlled stop.
