Title screen theme from "Juki, the Ranger," a visual novel developed by ASCAT and released in 1994 for the MSX2 microcomputer standard via Takeru disk-writer kiosks. This was something of a "rescue," as only the demo of this game (which has no music at all) had been archived up till now, but I got my hands on a complete Takeru copy of it just today and have both dumped it and photographed the instruction printout, all of which I'm sharing for anyone interested right here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1mjZT... The game is a Japanese-language visual novel in which you play as a young female forest ranger living in a cabin deep in the woods, with the ability to talk to the various animals that dwell therein. With their help and your ingenuity, you're tasked with patrolling those woods after a long period of rainfall, discovering and averting any disasters or issues that may have arisen since last you ventured out. It's a simple but charming game with bright, detailed visuals and -- as this video clearly demonstrates -- excellent FM music utilizing the Yamaha OPLL/MSX-music chip. And that's about all I can say about it, since I haven't played through it yet! But I'm glad to have a copy, and glad to have rescued this game from obscurity, and I hope you all enjoy the music as well, if not also the game itself.
