Undoubtedly the best of the best run ever I've had on a DOE, after failing to get a fast driver on DOE3, I had waited out at Rosehill for a while. The first bus was DOE41, which I had passed on as I've done it already despite having a much faster driver, but the wait for the next bus was way worth it, as it was DOE6, and uncoincidentally enough, turns out it was the same driver I had got DOE25 on the 151 a while back, which was a bigger W for this run. As usual, good bus, outstanding driver, where he had kept his foot down in most places, getting kickdowns in some of the most unexpected places, several 1-4s, a couple of overrevs in 1st and 2nd, and more that you wouldn't get on a 154 around 11am on a Sunday, but either a early morning one or a late night one 😂. Despite this being caned immensely, the cooling fan on this is relatively quiet when it's on, despite it coming on once or twice here which is a surprise. Additionally, he was running late and he was clearly a very enthusiastic driver who loves these buses alot. This bus was serving route 154 from Morden to West Croydon.
