Sharing why I no longer use ALPHA ARBUTIN in my skincare routine and testing The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2 + HA and offering some better hyperpigmentation skincare products. Hey guys and welcome back to Mad About Skin. One of the first videos to go viral here on the channel was my The Ordinary Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA review which over 60,000 people discovered the channel though. Since filming that video a lot has changed and I wanted to share with you why I no longer use alpha arbutin for hyperpigmentation in my skin care routine. Alpha Arbutin is a well studied pigment suppressant which when used correctly in your skincare routine can help brighten the skin, fade dark spots and tackle hyperpigmentation. It works well for all skin types and is well tolerated on sensitive skin which makes it a great place to start in your skin care routine. I no longer choose to use alpha arbutin the ordinary for my own skincare needs as I have found other skincare ingredients to be more powerful and quicker acting on my hyperpigmentation and acne scarring and thats what I want to share with you in todays video. Azelaic acid is a wonderful ingredient which is anti inflammatory, speeds up cell turnover, suppresses breakouts and helps minimise the production of pigmenting in the skin. It has become my go to for hyperpigmentation and I have seen some wonderful results without any sensitivity. Tranexamic Acid is another great skincare ingredient for tackling hyperpigmentation as it works to suppress pigment production and is also an anti-inflammatory like azelaic acid. You can use these two powerful actives together for the maximum results and it will speed up the time it takes to fade hyperpigmentation and the are easy to layer into your skincare routine.
