Philippines' Ancient LVTP-5 Fleet: Surprise, It's Still Working

Surprisingly, the LVTP-5, a family of amphibious armored fighting vehicles, is still operated by the Philippine Marines. According to reports, four of the LVTH-6 variants are still in service with the Philippine naval infantry force. This is the only country still operating these combat vehicles. In 1975, 50 LVTP-5s were delivered to the Philippine Marines. These vehicles were notably for its involvement during the 1986 People Power Revolution. Much of the fleet was decommissioned. In 2006, some vehicles were refurbished and returned to service with upgraded armor, and a new digitized camouflage.
