In my "dowel-making" video I showed not only a jig for making a quick handful of accurately made dowel pieces, I also showed my technique for decorative and proper fitting dowels and dowel plugs for plugging countersunk screw holes. By the end of that video I also raised the question of whether my dowels could plug screw pockets such as those left by the "kreg" jig. I then addressed that subject and shot video which I present here. I never use screw pocket joinery in a way that would necessitate plugging the hole since I only use pocket hole joinery in limited and non-exposed applications. Never the less, here are few thoughts on how I would do it, if I needed to.
