In preparation for next week's release of the PMDG 737-700NG for MSFS 2024, we thought you might enjoy a look back at where we have been, with a comparison to where the 737 is going now that she is getting her High Detail Update! Initially announced in November 2025, the High Detail Update for the PMDG 737 fleet is finally complete and brings the 737 model forward to leverage the MSFS 2024 engine more fully. Fine texture details and geometry improvements have been implemented throughout the airplane model, giving a more life-like and visually accurate presentation. Tens of thousands of hand placed rivets, screws and fasteners, enhanced animation of equipment hatches and exterior controls, improved ground equipment models, animations, doorways, cargo holds, cabin, cockpit, landing gear, gear bays, engines and lighting are implemented using the MSFS 2024 SDK to enhance your simming experience without sacrificing performance. The PMDG 737-700NG will debut on 09APR26 with the new High Detail Update fully implemented. The High Detail Update is being folded into each of the 737-600NG, 737-800NG and 737-900NG products as a regular product update in the days ahead.
