“The SURF gets bigger, then I hit the REEF! (4K POV)” Today’s surf mission turned into a wild solo reef session on the NSW South Coast. I paddled out to an empty reef with nobody surfing, crystal-clear water, and a perfect blue-sky day — the kind of setup every surfer dreams of. But things got interesting fast… After a few short rides close to the reef, the swell began to build, the reef started to show its teeth, and I ended up getting washed up onto the reef… twice. Some magic left-handers rolling through with perfect shape, all to myself. This entire session was filmed in 4K POV using the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro, capturing every moment from crystal-water takeoffs to the reef impacts and the clean, running lefts that followed.
