Reflection of a Monster: Jekyll and Hyde, and Dorian Gray

It has come to be understood that Mr Hyde and Dorian Gray's painting are reflections of the evil inside the titular characters. But is this correct? It was Jekyll who first created the potion, and kept going back to it, knowing full well the evil it unleashed, and while Dorian may not have created the painting itself, it was he who led a sinful life, while the painting merely showed the damage to his soul. For this project, I have made Dr. Jekyll and Dorian Gray's untarnished painting merely reflections of the men they ought to be, of the men society says they should be, but shown Hyde and the painting as the beings they really are.
