Beside the solo parts two accompaning patterns are introduced in this tutorial: The first one is in the original key E major and is played in a blues rock-style, with muted eights on the lower strings. The second pattern (marked by yellow coloring) uses strummed open chords in D major with the capo on the 2nd fret. (Of course you can also play it in E major without capo.) Which accompaniment or key you choose is just a matter of taste. You can even alternate between the two.
