Guild Wars 7th Anniversary - I Killed a Charr and I Liked It - Music Video Tribute

I wanted to give something back to the game and community I love for our 7th Anniversary playing Guild Wars. I have been playing MMO's since 1999, and Guild Wars is the game and community I have appreciated the most. My heartfelt thanks to everyone at ArenaNet and the community for making the game and experience. One of the biggest highlights of my year is going to PAX and meeting and thanking members of ArenaNet. I never have felt like I have been able to fully express my appreciation for their talent and hard work. I hope this is a small step toward that end ;) About the Song: I have had the idea and lyrics written for almost two years. Ever since I heard Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl" I have wanted to make this song happen. It is a parody, but I put a lot of thought into the lyrics. I wish I had more vocal talent at my disposal, so I am not entirely satisfied with the end result, but it is the best I can give. I sang myself hoarse for the next two days. I apologies to the enemies of autotune, but it was for the best. I hope that you at least get a few laughs out of it. About the Lyrics: It was touched upon in Guild Wars: Beyond - Winds of Change, that we as the player have committed genocide and even deicide, but always with the right motives, but there is still a moment of conflict, and ultimately acceptance of our actions. And in the end, Killin' Charr is fun :) About the Video: Not the video I had planned, but rather than put the project off, I went forward with a montage of clips highlighting some of the major dates in the long history of Guild Wars. For me, I first got to experience Tyria with the World Premiere Event, and have been coming back for thousands of hours over these seven years. Final thoughts: Thank you again to everyone at ArenaNet, and to the worldwide Guild Wars community. Tyria is alive, vibrant and real - we make it so every day.
