In this video, we will discuss the design of a Wilson current source using MOSFETs. The advantage of this current source is its very high output impedance, which is an important parameter of a current source. We will determine the required reference current and the component value for a required load current. We will also do parameter sweep analysis and discuss the effect of the change in load voltage on the load current. We also verify our calculations using simulations in TINA-TI SPICE.
