When Pain Takes You to a Dark Place… My Fight to Get My Life Back

The last two weeks nearly broke me. I’ve been living with brutal nerve pain — the kind that hits like an electrical shock, steals your breath, and drags you into a very dark place both mentally and physically. If you’ve never felt nerve pain, imagine your entire body convulsing without warning… over and over again. Today, I head back to St. Paul’s Hospital in Vancouver for another round of cryoablation — freezing the nerves in hopes of getting my life and freedom back. This marks one of many trips I’ve made over the years, but this one was different. The pain was worse. The injections were harder. And mentally, it took everything I had to show up.
