RAID Configuration in HP ProLiant DL380 Servers: In this quick and simple tutorial I will guide you through How to configure RAID in ProLiant DL380 Gen8 Server, RAID (Redundant Array of Independent Disks, originally Redundant Array of Inexpensive Disks) in RAID Data is distributed across the drives in one of several ways, referred to as RAID levels, depending on the required level of redundancy and performance. We have used ILO to take Console of this server and rebooted server into Intelligent Provisioning mode by pressing F10 Key at Server POST page to manage HPE Smart Storage Administrator (SSA). Follow below steps to configure RAID on HP ProLiant DL380 Gen9 server 1. Power ON Server and press F10 to go into intelligent provisioning 2. Click Perform Maintenance 3. Click HPE Smart Storage Administrator (SSA) 4. Select Smart Array Controller 5. Click Configure 6. Click Create Array 7. Select available HDD to Create Array, we have 5 300 GB HDD and we need RAID 5 on this Server 8. Select your RAID Version, We need RAID 5 on this server 9. Click Create Logical Drive 10.
