Take a look at artist Amy Leung’s live hands-on making workshop: Nature explorations, as part of #ThePostalExchange Live Making Workshops with artist Rachel McGivern on @Hello_Towner! This afternoon, Amy explored #ThePostalExchange objects she received from Rachel. Taking inspiration from the seeds, natural sponge, magazine cuttings and onion peel, Amy brings the outdoors indoors, sharing three simple ideas to transform a collection of found and gathered natural forms and materials. Using items such as leaves, pebbles, shells and twigs, Amy introduces sticky drawings, small worlds and paper pulp seed bombs and explore textures, smells, shape and scale, encouraging us to look more closely at the natural world. If you missed the live session, you can make along to this workshop recording, or download Amy’s making guide from our website (link in bio) and join in whenever it suits you. However you get involved, we’d love to see what you create. You can share your outcomes from this workshop with us by tagging @Hello_Towner and using #MakeShiftStudio #ThePostalExchange in your posts. Everyone is invited to take part but: • Please do ask permission before you borrow things • If you’re a child please ask an adult to work with you • Amy will be sharing lots of advice. Make sure you follow this to keep all the activities safe for you to enjoy! • We’d love to see what you make, but please don’t share photos of anyone without checking. • When choosing extra materials to work with, please don’t use sharp, precious or breakable objects ⠀ #MakeShiftStudio #Hello_Towner #MuseumFromHome #TownerArtSchool #TownerLearning #getcreative #stayhomestaysafe #artcanhelp #LetsCreate #GetKidsCreating #GetCreative #CultureAtHome
