Singer, songwriter and producer Neethio presents the video clip of his new single By Your Own Rules for which he also wrote the script, took the leading role and direction. The short story is set in a not-too-distant future, where humans have become meaningless numbers within an inhuman surveillance society - captured in glass cells and brand with bar codes. On the one hand the clip focuses on Neethio as a system opponent who recalls his imprisonment and how he was tortured until he finally seems to break out. On the other hand it tells a sad love story of two prisoners unable to get together. The song is not only picking up an ongoing social and political controversy. It also has a highly visible autobiographical touch: Neethio himself has been fighting as an independent artist against the music industry system and its rules for many years.
