It’s mid to late February here in southern Indiana, and though my colonies will start ramping up brood rearing soon, right now they should still have little to no capped brood — which makes this the perfect time for an OAV (Oxalic Acid Vaporization) treatment. OAV can’t reach below capped brood, so treating when colonies are mostly broodless gives it the best chance to knock down mites effectively. My goal is to help my colonies go into spring buildup strong and as mite-free as possible. 🐝💪 Thanks for watching!
