This trip is a big step for us as new sailors—only our fourth or fifth time ever on a boat—and it turns out to be an adventure full of surprises! The journey to Lindö takes us 6 nautical miles from our marina, through beautiful Baltic waters, and along the way, we run into an unexpected problem with the engine. As rookie sailors, every challenge is a learning experience, and this one taught us just how quickly things can go wrong if you’re not prepared. With a bit of troubleshooting and a lucky realization, we manage to get back on track and continue to Lindö. Once we arrive, we’re rewarded with stunning scenery, clear water, and a peaceful atmosphere that’s worlds away from the busy mainland.
