The family— a widow with three children—was living in a dilapidated mud-and-stone hut with a leaking roof, hardly any utensils, minimal food, no proper bedding, and exposed electric wiring. The mother survives by daily farm labor; the elder children attend government school but struggle with torn clothes and uncertain meals. The mission team brought essential supplies tailored to real needs: 25 kg rice, pulses, flour, onions, potatoes, spices, sugar, tea, milk powder, cooking oil, and preserved pickles. They also provided household items — plates, glasses, buckets, storage containers, locks, bedding, two bed sheets, a cot, footwear, clothes for each family member, soap, detergent, and even tarpaulin and ropes to fix the roof. Simple kitchen tools like a tava, rolanka (rolling board) and utensils were included. Beyond material help, volunteers offered dignity and hope—ensuring the family won’t sleep hungry this season.
