The shutdown of the Darjeeling hills entered its 51st day on 4 August. Apart from medical stores, all shops, schools, colleges and offices have been under complete shutdown for almost two months now. Why? Because the locals of the Darjeeling district are demanding a separate State - Gorkhaland. With the voices of the Hills not being heard in the power corridors of Delhi, leaders of many Darjeeling parties arrived in the capital earlier this week to start talks. The Quint caught up with Harka Bahadur Chettry and got the JAP President to explain the situation back home.
