Lake District Walks | Haystacks and Buttermere

As part of an active recovery day, Abbie decides to take on one of the most popular fells in the Lakes, Haystacks. She walks from Buttermere, following the blissful lakeside path before ascending to the summit of the characteristic crag. The views over the surrounding landscape are some of their favourite in the National Park and a fitting reward after the scramble to the top. They then passes the Innominate Tarn, the resting place of the hillwalking legend himself, Alfred Wainwright, and Blackbeck Tarn, before exploring some the disused Honister Quarries and descending back to Gatesgarth Farm and Buttermere Lake.
