Here is “Affinity”, a Drizzt Do’Urden(Dungeons and Dragons) inspired song. I had planned to release this video last week but life got a bit too busy to finish it in time for release. This is my first non Warhammer song so hopefully some of you have read RA Salvatore or enjoy the music & lyrics regardless. It’s based on The Dark Elf trilogy and mostly set during the book Exile. It’s been a long time since I read the books so I was surprised I was able to write all the lyrics from memory. Instrumentally this is one of my favourite tracks. I don’t write to much music in a djent/modern metal style so it was great to explore different rhythms and grooves. Robin did an incredible job on the drums as always and Tom’s vocals performance is my favourite he’s done. I’ve also been saving that guitar solo for a long time. Thanks for listening!
