Fraxel lasers are fractionated laser devices that work by creating micro injuries in the skin to trigger the body to regenerate cells and boost collagen production. Fractional lasers offer the advantage of working superficially and/or deeply into the dermal structure of the skin while leaving surrounding skin and tissue intact. Patients worried about their comfort level during the procedure can request a topical numbing cream.
