Effecting cultural and operational change across a K-12 school district has never been a small ambition. Lately, educational leaders would argue change has become even harder to achieve as key stakeholders have craved a “return to normalcy” in their communities; however, great educational leaders recognize that such a “return” is not only impossible, but also a disservice to communities. Great educational leaders recognize that achieving success in our school systems — in service to students, families and educators themselves — demands more efficient ways of enabling educators to do what they do best: knowing who their students are, what they need and what is being done to support them. In this webinar, we highlight the vision and accomplishments of the Fort Osage School District, an Intellispark partner. Three years ago, Emily Cross assumed the role of assistant superintendent in the Fort Osage School District after an award-winning tenure as elementary school principal in the district. Emily knew that Fort Osage could do better at knowing and supporting every student across their 12+-year journey through Fort Osage Public Schools. Join us to hear Emily and team members from various school and district sites share how they systematically came to ensure all students in their district are recognized for their strengths, connected to a caring adult and supported more effectively through accelerated awareness of their needs and corresponding interventions. Hear how far they have come at transforming district culture – from the wins to the challenges–and where they would like to go next.
