We finally got to ride Test Track at EPCOT after its recent refurbishment — and it did NOT disappoint! 🚗⚡ On our last Walt Disney World trip, we experienced the newly refreshed version of this high-speed favorite, and it was such a fun ride from start to finish. If you’ve been wondering what changed, what stayed the same, and what’s completely gone… I’ve got you covered. 🎢 What’s New After the Refurbishment: The updated Test Track brings a cleaner, more modern feel to the attraction. The queue has been refreshed with updated lighting and design elements, giving it a sleek, futuristic automotive vibe. Some of the pre-show elements have been streamlined, making the experience flow better and feel more cohesive. The ride itself feels smoother in certain transitions, and several of the show scenes were updated with refreshed lighting, projections, and effects. The focus leans more into innovation, smart vehicle technology, and the future of transportation rather than just performance testing alone. And yes… the high-speed outdoor loop is still there — reaching speeds up to 65 mph around the track! That part remains the highlight and still gives you that adrenaline rush as you zip around the outside of the building. 🌬️ 🛑 What’s No Longer Available: If you remember the older version before the refurb, a few things have changed: • The original pre-show safety video and storyline elements have been updated. • Some of the older physical testing scenes (like certain durability and environmental test effects) were refreshed or removed. • The previous design-your-own-car interactive elements were simplified compared to earlier versions. • Certain queue displays and interactive stations from the prior version are no longer available. The attraction now feels more streamlined and less industrial than before, with a stronger emphasis on innovation and futuristic vehicle concepts. Overall? It’s still one of the most thrilling rides in EPCOT and a must-do every trip for us.
