She first found an audience of over 35,000 online with her 'English ballad' renditions of Korean songs, a project that shapes the cross-genre style she carries into her original music. Drawing on her perspectives on mental health, relationships and identity, Emily’s songs explore moments of loss to empowerment, often with a cinematic lift in the chorus. Her debut single ‘Till It Fades Away’, released in November 2024, displays her more introspective side, revealing her thoughts of an unclear future, with the motivational message on how to frame uncertainty positively through the opening and closing line “the future’s so bright”.
