Our Quito explorations take us outside of the historic center and into the La Mariscal district to experience El Ejido Park and the Artisan Market. It was relatively quiet there as it was a Monday and we found that we really liked the area. The next day, on a rainy Tuesday, we explored more of Centro and wandered our way into the Metropolitan Cathedral, various courtyards, and witnessed some kind of military procession at one of Quito's many churches.
