This happens when your ex starts to shift a new relationship to be at or near the same level of commitment that they had with you. This can be very troubling at first, but when you realize what is happening it is definitely a rebound relationship symptom and even more than that, a symptom of emotional unavailability. Remember that just because your ex is posting something online or on social media, it doesn't mean that it is real or that it is even an accurate representation of what is real. Social media is nothing more than a curated view of someone's life. It's what they want you to see of their life. And who is going to go and post all the terrible, dull, frustrating, or disappointing things online? Very few people. So don't think that your ex has moved on just because they are making it seem like they are. Chances are it is mostly smoke and mirrors.
