Time for something fun and a little bit different! Earlier this summer Sonic Drive In released their newest slush. Pickle Juice! At first I thought it was a horrible idea, but the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to try. So we did and now it is, hands down, one of Rick's favorites. This slush is curiously refreshing and delicious. I knew I could replicate this with Torani syrups and indeed we did! This slush is very close to the real thing without the garish green color. It is easy to make a copycat recipe using Torani syrups and pickle juice from your fridge! Definitely a must try this summer! #Homemade #DillPickle #Slush #Recipe Like I said, a pickle juice slush was not exactly my idea of a fun time. But when we tried it (we ordered a mini) it was amazing! If you go and try one for yourself, just be sure to stir it because it seems the pickle juice floats on top. I figured we could make this using Torani syrups and I have to say, we came very close! I used my Ninja drink blender and filled the tall cup with ice to the fill line. Then added half a shot of lemon and half a shot of lime Torani syrup along with about 1/2 cup of dill pickle juice. You will want to be sure to use dill pickle juice here and not juice from bread and butter pickles which will render this cloyingly sweet. I also added a splash of lemon lime soda and gave it a whirl until the slush was slushy. When the slush was done it was really thick so I added more lemon lime soda until it was the right consistency. In all, I think it turned out great and Rick enjoyed it with his lunch. I hope this inspires you to give this interesting version of a summer slush a try and I hope you love it! Happy Eating!
