Hello Friends, In this inverter based resource series we will learn about the various technical challenges observed with Renewable Integration in simple and easy way. These challenges results in stability issue for power system. If such issues are not tackled efficiently and with due care can also cause instability of the grid and rapidly develop into large scale blackout. Such issues include inverter control issues, inverter resources interaction issues, inverter induced oscillations, sudden drop in inverter based generation post near by faults, loss of synchronism due to transients etc. Here our focus is over understanding these challenges being faced by power system operator across globe and remedial measures which can help in their mitigation.
