Living on the outskirts with a pair of bandits, she adopts the name “Clarke” and sticks to the shadows. In the capital, royal guard Bellamy Blake hears of his sister’s arrest, and the captain of the guard offers him a deal: in return for his sister’s release, Bellamy is sent on a solo mission to retrieve the mysterious Clarke and bring her back to the palace. Little does he know that she’s the lost princess, and she’s betrothed to Wells Jaha, son of the Chancellor. When Bellamy and Clarke meet, they form a tenuous friendship that begins to grow into something more.
