Which Job Should You Choose in Japan? | How to Pick The Best School to Work for in Japan

With so many different schools to choose from, and cities to work in it can be very difficult to decide which job offer you should pursue and accept. The truth is that there is no such thing as the perfect job. There are pros and cons to every school here in Japan. Throw in a language barrier, extreme cultural differences with work & life expectations & balance and boom! Now it's even harder to choose a company. These are my tips and personal advice for how you should select a job in Japan. Remember always choose the job that offers more security (even if the pay is a bit lower). You don't have to work at your dream job when you first arrive to Japan. You can always get another job later. Your goal is to simply get the hard part out of the way and get your foot in the door by securing your first LEGAL working visa. After this you will be able to easily switch jobs and find other companies who will gladly help you to renew your visa in the future.
