In this video Tracy Friend from Liberating the Heart guides a 15 minute Self-Enquiry meditation. Meditation often involves using awareness to observe our physical senses such as sensations in the body or sounds. However, there is another type of meditation where that which is aware of our experience is observed. It is taught in non-duality traditions that the sense of being a separate ‘I’ a separate ‘me’ that is having our experience is just a belief. As we turn our mind to focus on the sense of being an ‘I’ a ‘me’ with our non-reactive awareness, this can start to release the sense of separation leading to realising our true nature of oneness. This practice of observing the sense of 'me' and 'I' is the practice Tracy Friend did that lead to her awakening in which she realised there is no separate self.
