Objective: Resolve the posterior capsular rupture, from which the vitreous is leaking. Set irrigation to continuous 0. Triamcinolone, then aspirate. 1. Stick the vitrectomy cutter POSTERIOR to the posterior capsule. 2. Slowly cut from the posterior-most to the anterior-most vitreous. 3. Chase after the remaining vitreous 4. Re-stain with triamcinolone (TIP: may want to stick the cannula in deeper and stain the posterior vitreous as well). 5. Aspirate out the triamcinolone and check if there are any vitreous left. (NOTE: be careful when you're close to the posterior capsule - instrument may suck up the capsule) 6. Get rid of the cortex (after injecting the Viscoelastic) O/R machine settings - I/A tip. set flow rate VERY LOW (5-10) bottle height: 55-60 TIP: pull the cortex away from the capsule, then use the vitrector to get rid of the remaining cortex in the center.
