Leticia raised suspicion quickly after not participating in search efforts for her stepson and decides to leave the state with her teenage daughter a few days after the investigation begins. Her husband, Al, began working with investigators early on in the case to attempt to locate Gannon and Leticia. Leticia was eventually found and arrested in Myrtle Beach, SC on March 2nd and Gannon's remains are finally discovered March 20th in Florida. After many attempts to evade law enforcement and make up stories as to Gannon's disappearance, Letecia decides to plead guilty by reason of insanity. The 20-day trial began on April 3rd, 2023.
