Before you take the plunge with a step bit, keep these three things in mind: Check Your Clearance: I ran into a support arm under the bed on my 4th hole. Always measure twice and check the underside of the bed for electrical lines or structural braces. Prevent Corrosion: Anytime you drill through the factory bedliner and metal, you're inviting rust. I used Black RTV Silicone to seal the Riv Nuts and protect the exposed steel. The 'Point of No Return': This install is permanent.
