An interesting interview with the great lead singer of Jay & The Americans. The group still performs in concert today with the third Jay covering the lead vocals. Jay Traynor was the first Lead singer who sang on their first big hit, She Cried, which reached the top five in 1962. Traynor soon left after, and remained in the music business for years. Jay Trayner passed away a few years back and Jay Black has also passed away. In todays touring group there are three original members, Sandy, Howie, and Marty who also own the groups name. Jay & The Americans are a favorite group and really enjoy collecting their records and memorabilia. Questions, comments and even a thumbs up, is most appreciated, enjoy.
