The Pgytech Onepro Flex 40L is an adventure-travel oriented photography bag that features pockets for everything, a wide range of interchangeable camera cubes, a very supportive load carriage system and a clever flexible, expandable main volume that allows it comfortably carry not only all your photography equipment but also a wide range of gear for outdoor or mixed use. 00:00 - Start 03:36 - Overview & Disclaimer 04:52 - For/Not For 06:16 - Exterior Design / Features 07:23 - External Straps 08:11 - Front External Gimbal Pocket 08:53 - Water Bottle Pockets + Tripod Mount 09:38 - Top Lid Pocket 10:35 - Side Pockets & Access 12:01 - Load Carriage - Straps, Frame & Hip Belt 16:07 - Top Flex Expansion Compartment 17:51 - Rear Access 19:13 - Main Compartment - Laptop / Organizer Section 20:34 - Main Compartment - Camera Cube/Storage Section 21:22 - Camera Insert 24:13 - Mixed Outdoor/Photography Loadout 28:29 - Maxed out Photography Loadout 30:42 - Telephoto Struggles 32:39 - Conclusion 33:29 - Also Consider... I imagine that the design brief for this bag probably went something like "What would it look like if you designed a photography backpack and just like.... gave it all the stuff?" And boy oh boy my friends, does this bag indeed have "all the stuff." As such, there is a lot to like about this bag: Flexible main volume expansion (the "flex" in the name) that adds +10L to the bag when needed, with the ability to subdivide into several different segments depending on how you want to use ths space. I really love this feature Very comfortable, well padded and sweat-reducing "Ace Frame" load carriage system with a high degree of adjustability for various torso sizes and is very comfortable even with very heavy loadouts Ton of organization all over inside and outside of the bag that shows clear thought not just to camera carry but also items one might need in their everyday life (i.e. laptop, water bottle, wallet etc.) Accommodation for tons of photography-related carry - a place for a gimbal, a tripod, batteries, filters and more, plus four sizes of swappable camera inserts to accommodate a wide variety of camera equipment One of a limited number of photography bags on the market that also includes significant wide open space to allow you to carry things needed for adventure travel - food, water, stove, emergency bivy, down jacket, etc. plus a lot of professional camera gear, making it very suitable for big photography objectives over rough terrain or mixed hiking/photography use. And overall, this bag can just carry a ton of gear in relative comfort, protection and with a high degree of organization. That said, there are some downsides to this bag as well: It's heavy - the official weight with all the stuff stripped down is 1.96kg which doesn't sound that bad but its actual usable weight with a medium camera cube and such is 2.85kg which is substantial The hip belt is not removable which dramatically limits usability in certain key areas - it is unlikely you'll be able carry this bag on to a plane which is a big con for adventure travel (i.e. would love to take this overseas but how to get it there?) Although the bag collapses down with the flex the aluminum support prevents the back from shortening in the vertical dimension which means it remains a large bag. In conjunction with the large non-removable hip belt this bag ends up being poorly suited for EDC use. It's unavoidably fussy - you've got straps and fabric and clips and adjustments everywhere and this is just a bag that requires high cognitive overhead to work with Despite the awesome carrying capacity of the bag and its ability to swap in different camera cubes etc. - they don't make a camera cube large enough to carry larger telephotos. So though I would love to use this as a birding bag, I just can't fit my FE 600mm f/4.0 in it, even with the L camera cube, and that sucks.
