The 1980 ident uses a logo that was introduced around 1977, according to Logopedia. KQED is a PBS member television station licensed to San Francisco, California, United States, serving the San Francisco Bay Area. Owned by KQED Inc (founded on 1st June 1953), they first signed on the air on 5th April 1954 as the sixth public television station in the entire country, debuting shortly after the launch of WQED in Pittsburgh. Special credit to users including @OckGypsy, @BrokenSaw1, among others credited at the end, whose hard work at archiving the footage is greatly appreciated. This video was released for educational purposes only. I have given credit to the original creators/capturers of the logos/idents featured in the end credits of this video.
