The year 2021 hasn't all been good, but here on De Hoop we have been blessed with an amazing yielding hay crop this year. We grow Medicago, or commonly known as Medicks, which is part of the clover family and it is a permanent seed in our ground once you establish it for the first time. All hay making equipment featured in this video (mower tractors, mowers, baler tractors and bales) are owned by a contracting company that was paid to cut our hay. Contracting company operates in the Swartland area of the Western Cape and does jobs like mowing, raking, baling, harvesting and silage bale wrapping.
