This part may not be as much fun as writing, but it is necessary. Commit to doing what it takes to get yourself organized and out there. 2. Set Up Your Website. You'll need a central "hub" where your readers can find you, buy your books, sign up for your mailing list, and start following you on social media. It doesn't have to be fancy, but it does have to be yours. Register a site with your name, preferably with a .com, get some hosting, pick a theme, and set it up! 3. Get On Social Media. You don't have to actively participate on every single network, but you should least have a profile on the popular ones. Start with a Facebook Fan Page, a Twitter account, and Google +. Link this back to your main website. 4. Identify Your Keywords. Do some simple keyword research to figure out what people are searching for, then include these phrases in your blogs, book description, and social media. This will definitely help people find you and your book! 5. Get Yourself Out There. Once you have everything set up, spend 15-20 minutes per day networking on social media. Try not to just talk about your book. Have conversations. Engage. Be social. Be yourself. This actually gets easier the more you do it. 6. Keep Writing. Don't forget, writers write!
