PAÍS Nanomaterials Characterization Facility

The Nanomaterials Characterization Facility (NCF), led by UNM's Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences Professor of Mineralogy Adrian Brearley, is the only facility of its kind in New Mexico. NCR's broad instrumentation – including a new state-of-the-art microscope that can actually see atoms - allows them to partner with multiple organizations statewide and nationally to understand the nature of materials and how to make them work better for us. NCF is one of the labs in the Interdisciplinary Science Co-operative, located in the Physics & Astronomy and Interdisciplinary Science building (PAÍS)
