Aethyr is an Indie, Open World, ARPG combining old school Zelda like action with Skyrim style lvl ups! With a Dark Souls influence too! Watch? Aethyr offers Top down, overhead action adventure, think Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, but rocking a Lvl Up system right out of Skyrim, or more accurately, Elder Scrolls: Oblivion! Your characters skills increase as you use them dynamically, Skyrim style, but the increases you gain when you go to sleep increase depending upon which abilities you used most in your adventures; cool! Gameplay: Name your character, then pick from 1 of 4 classes, a tank, a mage, a rogue, or an archer, letting the player customize their playstyle right at the start, which is always nice to see. Then explore the world and become stronger, battling, or sneaking your way through the area, while gathering resources if you wish. Crafting and gathering resources is a part of the game as well, as you can specialize in crafting or enchanting gear to outfit your character as you like, making equipment in town to best prepare yourself for the dangers of the open world and dungeons. So, explore the world. Find secrets, find dungeons, find secrets in dungeons! Sneak up to monsters for a surprise shank, or sneak past them. Dodge monsters and traps, and explore the world, in this open world pixel packing adventure. Control wise: Aethyr was made for, and control best with, a gamepad, as Aethyr does not recognize the mouse, which is an interesting decision I hope they reconsider at some point. A Lack of Mouse Support removes potential players from considering the game, as many are not ok with the 2 hands on keyboard control scheme. So, as long as you both have, and are ok with using a gamepad, it shouldn’t be a deal breaker.
