Debby Herbenick presents: Evidence & Engagement: A Vision for Expanding Sexual Health Education in the United States Debby Herbenick, PhD, MPH is Co-Director of the Center for Sexual Health Promotion at Indiana University's School of Public Health, sexual health educator and research fellow at The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender, and Reproduction, and an AASECT certified sexuality educator. Dr. Herbenick is a lead scientist of the 2009, 2012, 2013, and 2014 National Surveys of Sexual Health and Behavior which seek to understand the sexual experiences of Americans from adolescence through advanced age. As an author of more than 90 scientific publications, Dr. Herbenick has published on condom use, genital self-image, scale development and validation, and pain during intercourse. Passionately committed to translating sexuality information for the public, she has also authored five trade books about sex and love, writes and hosts the Kinsey Confidential podcast series, developed a 14-unit online sexuality training for lay health educators (in English and Spanish), and has taught more than 20 sections of an undergraduate human sexuality class at IU. The faculty of the Program in Human Sexuality invites you to explore the latest in sexual health research.
